H.E. Ms. CHEA Leang, born on 9 September 1969, is the Prosecutor General of the General Prosecution Office to the Supreme Court of the Kingdom of Cambodia, a position she has held since 2009. She also serves as the National Co-Prosecutor of the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC) since 2006, prosecuting crimes committed during the Khmer Rouge regime.

She is the President of the Disciplinary Council of the Supreme Council of the Magistracy, responsible for disciplinary oversight of prosecutors who breach legal or ethical standards.

Ms. CHEA Leang earned a Master of Arts in Law from Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Germany (1988–1995). Her legal career began at the Ministry of Justice (1996–1999), followed by appointments as Deputy Chief of the Office of Personnel and Training (1999–2002), and Prosecutor at the Appellate Court (2002–2006). She was also a member of the Criminal Code Drafting Commission (2001–2003).

She has completed advanced legal training in Denmark, the Netherlands, Japan, and Thailand, focusing on human rights and international criminal investigations. Khmer is her native language, and she has basic working knowledge of German and English.
