Tan Sri Mohd Dusuki bin Mokhtar was born on 6 March 1967 in Machang, Kelantan. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B. Hons) degree from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), which he obtained in 1992, and a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree from the University of Wollongong, Australia, completed in 2012 with a specialisation in Prosecutorial Practice. 

Tan Sri Mohd Dusuki began his legal career in 1993 as a Deputy Public Prosecutor in the Prosecution Division of the Attorney General's Chambers. Over the span of more than three decades, he has served in various key positions across Kelantan, Perak, and the headquarters of the Attorney General's Chambers in Putrajaya. 

Among the prominent roles he has held are Federal Counsel at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Chairman of the Industrial Court under the Ministry of Human Resources, Head of the Appeals Unit, and Head of the General and Sexual Crimes Unit cum Director of the National Revenue Recovery Enforcement Team (NRRET). He also served as Deputy Head and later Head of the Appellate & Trial Division of the Attorney General's Chambers. On 12th November 2024, Tan Sri Mohd Dusuki was appointed as the 13th Attorney General of Malaysia, thereby making him the Head of Service for Judicial and Legal Officers. 

In recognition of his distinguished service in the public sector, Tan Sri Mohd Dusuki has been conferred several honours, including the Ahli Setia Mahkota Kelantan (A.S.K.) in 2000, the Darjah Dato' Paduka Seri Kelantan (D.P.S.K.) which carries the title 'Dato'' in 2016, and the Johan Setia Mahkota (J.S.M.) by His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong in the same year. Most recently, on 2nd June 2025, Tan Sri Mohd Dusuki was conferred the Darjah Panglima Mangku Negara (P.M.N.) by His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong which carries the title 'Tan Sri'.
