Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Indonesia

For over eight decades, the Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Indonesia ("AGO") has contributed to strengthening the rule of law and advancing justice in the country.  Operating within the integrated criminal justice system, the AGO undertakes prosecution, addresses corruption, conducts legal intelligence, represents the state in civil and administrative cases, recovers assets, and engages in international cooperation.

The institution is guided by the values of Satya Adhi Wicaksana — loyalty, excellence, and wisdom — which underpin its commitment to integrity, professionalism, and fairness.  These values also serve as the foundation for its efforts to adapt to evolving challenges while maintaining public confidence.

Today, the AGO is recognized as one of Indonesia's most trusted legal institutions, with a public confidence rating of 77%.  This trust reflects not only institutional achievements, but also an ongoing responsibility to uphold justice, safeguard rights, and contribute to building a society where the rule of law is firmly respected.
