Lao delegation visits Beijing Municipal People's Procuratorate　

Zhu Yapin, Chief Prosecutor of the Beijing Municipal People's Procuratorate, met with a delegation led by Livong Laoly, Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuracy of Laos, in Beijing on July 29.

Zhu welcomed the Lao delegation and underscored the significance of Livong's visit, noting that her decision to make Chinese procuratorial organs the first stop of her trip was especially meaningful in the year marking the 65th anniversary of the establishment of China-Laos diplomatic relations and the China-Laos Friendship Year.

He also pointed to the signing of the 2026-27 cooperation plan between China's Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) and the Supreme People's Procuracy of Laos by Livong and Ying Yong, Prosecutor General of China's SPP, as a strong demonstration of the commitment to reinforcing the traditional friendship between the two countries' procuratorial organs.

He further stated that procuratorial organs in China's capital will earnestly implement the signed agreements to support the growth of China-Laos relations and deepen bilateral procuratorial exchanges and cooperation.

The two sides engage in discussions.

Livong expressed appreciation for the warm reception by the Beijing Municipal People's Procuratorate and lauded the achievements of Beijing's procuratorial organs in leveraging digital and intelligent technologies to advance their work. She remarked that Beijing's practical experience has provided valuable insights, and expressed her hope for the continued deepening of bilateral procuratorial exchanges and interactions, which would contribute to the further modernization and intelligence-driven development of the work of both sides.

During the meeting, Tian Xianghong, Deputy Chief Prosecutor of the Beijing Municipal People's Procuratorate, provided an overview of Beijing's practices in applying digital and intelligent technologies to empower procuratorial work. Representatives from the Changping District People's Procuratorate and the Second Procuratorial Department of the Beijing Municipal People's Procuratorate respectively introduced the AI-powered legal supervision model for identifying undetected offenders and uncharged offenses in upstream and downstream crimes, as well as the big data-driven legal supervision model for criminal adjudication supervision.

The two sides also held in-depth discussions on topics such as the full-chain crackdown on upstream and downstream crimes related to telecom fraud and database development.

Long Mei and Zhang Xiaohan, Class I Counsel and Class II Counsel of the SPP's International Cooperation Bureau, attended the meeting, while Zhang Zhaoxia, First Deputy Chief Prosecutor of the Beijing Municipal People's Procuratorate, presided over the meeting.
