Located along the Guishui River in Yanqing District, Beijing, the Beijing Branch of the National Prosecutors College of China covers 65 mu (about 4.33 hectares) with a total building area of 39,000 square meters. The campus includes two auditoriums, 16 classrooms and meeting rooms, and 283 guest rooms, which can accommodate over 500 participants for conferences and training at the same time.

The college boasts a first-class faculty, with many lecturers possessing foreign language expertise and overseas study experience, enabling them to deliver foreign-related legal training in multiple languages. Equipped with advanced facilities, the college served as an official reception venue for both the World Horticultural Exposition and the Winter Olympic Games. Its culinary team is equally outstanding, proficient in Chinese and Western cuisines, and has repeatedly provided catering services for international guests.

Situated in Yanqing, known as the "Summer Capital" and a "Natural Oxygen Bar" with a forest coverage rate of 60 percent, the campus is surrounded by scenic and historical attractions such as the Badaling Great Wall, Longqing Gorge, Kangxi Grassland, and Songshan Primeval Forest.

Upholding High Standards, Advancing Prosecutorial Education

The Beijing Branch adheres to the capital's principle of excellence, highlighting the unique features of Beijing's prosecutorial work. It has established an innovative "modular and combinational" training system to support the modernization of prosecutorial work with strong talent development and intellectual resources. The college contributes to building new political, supervisory, and professional ecosystems within the procuratorial system.

Pioneering Digital Prosecution Training

In 2025, the college led the publication of Digital Prosecution Strategy: Theory and Practice for Shaping New Legal Supervision Capabilities, serving as the foundational textbook for digital prosecution training.

Recognizing that the digital prosecution strategy represents a revolutionary transformation in legal supervision, the college developed a series of action-based training programs featuring digital modeling workshops. These programs emphasize hands-on participation, practical problem-solving, and team-based research projects, enabling trainees to master digital prosecution technologies and skills through experiential learning.

Strong Faculty in Juvenile Prosecution

With the Beijing Municipal People's Procuratorate serving as the Secretariat of the National Committee on Juvenile Prosecution, the college benefits from robust institutional support in building a specialized training base.

Leveraging Beijing's concentration of top universities, its faculty combines theoretical depth with practical expertise to develop high-quality curricula covering the four major prosecutorial functions — knowledge systems, special judicial procedures, crime prevention and governance, and public interest litigation. Courses also explore social support systems and experiential legal education.

Extensive Intellectual Property Case Resources

Beijing's jurisdiction over national-level intellectual property (IP) judicial supervision cases provides a strong foundation for developing bilingual training modules in IP prosecution.

Courses focus on four key areas, including IP theory, trademark protection, copyright protection, and trade secrets protection. The curriculum includes more than 50 landmark cases.

Some of these courses are delivered in English at the 2025 WIPO–China Summer School, offering international perspectives on AI, data rights, and creative industry protection.

Innovative Courses on Technology-Related Crimes

In response to the increasing technical complexity and transnational nature of cybercrime, the Beijing Branch provides courses integrating theory, practice, technology, and real cases.

Topics include electronic evidence review, governance of cyber black and gray markets, cross-border cooperation, and legal risks arising from emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence.

Interpreting China's Procuratorial System for the World

To help international audiences better understand China's procuratorial system, the college offers a series of courses. These courses trace the 90-year evolution of China's procuratorial system through four historical stages, featuring representative artifacts, cases, institutions, and practices. They demonstrate how Chinese prosecutors have consistently safeguarded public interests and upheld justice throughout different eras.
