The Guangdong Branch of the National Prosecutors College of China (hereinafter referred to as the Guangdong Branch) is a public institution under the Guangdong Provincial People's Procuratorate. Its predecessor, the Guangdong Provincial Prosecutors Training Center, was established in 1995 and restructured into the Guangdong Prosecutors (Training) College in 2002.
Located in Dali town, Nanhai district, Foshan city, it is among the first eight branch campuses approved nationwide and one of the first three designated as national procuratorial training bases with distinctive features, namely the National Training Base for Civil and Administrative Procuratorial Work.
The Guangdong Branch has comprehensive facilities including a teaching building, dormitory, dining hall, gymnasium, and other supporting facilities. It is equipped with a 350-seat lecture hall, two tiered classrooms, three 50-seat practical training classrooms, five 30-seat conference rooms, as well as language laboratories, computer rooms, and a mock courtroom.
In terms of faculty development, the Guangdong Branch has established a high-quality teaching faculty pool of 334 renowned experts, scholars, and key professionals from various fields. It emphasizes case-based teaching, turning real cases into vivid classroom materials to bridge practice and theory. It also launched the Guangdong Procuratorial Education and Training Model Course Project, developing 15 model courses.
Since being designated in 2011 as a pilot national training base for civil and administrative procuratorial work, the Guangdong Branch has deepened cooperation with relevant civil and administrative procuratorial departments, actively developing more than 100 specialized courses and launching practical training programs in this area. Over the past decade, the branch has undertaken practical training programs nationwide, hosting training sessions for provinces including Yunnan, Guizhou, Qinghai, Shaanxi, and Gansu, and organizing annual civil and administrative procuratorial training sessions across Guangdong province.
The branch plays an active role in regional development. It organizes rule-of-law training programs for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and provides targeted support to grassroots procuratorates, especially in underdeveloped regions of Guangdong. In the past three years, it has held seven specialized training sessions to strengthen grassroots capacity.
With its professional expertise, strong faculty, and innovative programs, the Guangdong Branch has become a leading base for civil and administrative procuratorial training, earning recognition at both provincial and national levels.
