The mutual legal assistance treaty between China and Cambodia, currently under negotiation as part of the Global Security Initiative, represents a big step toward formalizing bilateral judicial collaboration, said Cambodia's top prosecutor.

There are many areas of mutual interest for Singaporean and Chinese authorities to cooperate more closely to fight transnational crimes more effectively, said Singapore's top prosecutor.

The increasing complexity of transnational crime in the digital age highlights the urgent need for enhanced international cooperation to ensure more effective investigations and prosecutions, said Malaysia's top prosecutor.

The conference, focused on the theme of collectively combating money laundering, corruption and strengthening asset recovery in the technological age, is one of the city's foremost judicial events in the second half of 2025.

Chinese prosecutors will step up cooperation with their counterparts in ASEAN member states to fight corruption and cross-border money laundering.

On Sept 16, Ying Yong, Chief Grand Prosecutor and Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuratorate of China, led the Chinese procuratorial delegation to attend the seventh Meeting of the Heads of Prosecution Services of the BRICS Countries via video link in Beijing.

The Honourable Attorney-General, Datin Seri Paduka Hjh Nor Hashimah binti Haji Muhammed Taib and officers from the Attorney General's Chambers attended the ASEAN Law Forum 2025 from August 19 to August 21, 2025 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Malaysia.
